Stars Ownership Update & News

Thanks to Shanny for the updates. It's awesome to have someone on the inside of a team during this.

Tom Gaglardi has been approved by the NHL Board of Governors as the new owner of the Dallas Stars.

And he has intentions to hire Jim Lites as the next president of the team.

Shanny also sent us this video to express the Stars's fans feelings about this development.

- Adam Burish is out from 4-6 weeks with a broken hand. It's the Stars time to get the injury bug apparently.

- Roberto Luongo is out with an upper-body injury.

- Chris Stewart was suspended three games for his hit on Niklas Kronwall.

- The New York Islanders unveiled their new third jerseys...don't know how we feel about them.

- Mikael Grabovski will be out for two weeks and Clarke MacArthur is injured. It never ends.

- The Evolution of Matt Cooke, according to TSN. We really like it.

- NHL Central Scouting's Chris Edwards will be providing an inside look into how NHL scouts live in their day to day life.

What A Move! What A Goal!

Matt Duchene, definitely scored the goal of the year (so far) in this young season.

Our son is so disgustingly good we can't even handle it. We are so proud of him for being such a beast.

Fantasy Hockey Update: Week Six

What's up everyone? How do you think you did this week?

Whether you did awesome or terrible, don't fret. It's still only November and there is a lot of hockey left.

Here are the standings:

Top 5 are:

1. Socially Awkward
2. The Bert and Ernies
3. Ramen Truck
4. Evgenia
5. TurboShelly

Socially Awkward keeps the top spot this week mainly because of Milan Lucic's penalty-filled affair against the Sabres.

And James Neal keeps tearing it up like the beast that he is.

The Bert and Ernies have Lucic, Brandon Dubinsky and James Neal. It's like a trifecta of awesomeness and penalty minutes.

It seems pretty static this week. No jumps like what happened between week four and week five.

Alright, here's to another great week of hockey.

Awards Monday: Week Six

After a slow start, he's been firing everything at the net and a lot has been going in. The Rangers are doing pretty well right now and he's a huge part of it.

Captain Callahan (Kind Of) Snubbed By A Kid

The boy in this video, Joseph Cook, looks absolutely terrified yet excited to go out and drop the puck for the Rangers/Hurricanes game that happened last night.

He's so cute and totally forgets to shake Ryan Callahan's hand. We find it kind of funny and cute.
